Five Extremely Useful Smart-Phone Apps for Bloggers

Every blogger, no matter what niche he chooses to write on, feels an inexplicable need of expressing himself, and sharing information with other people. This is great news for the average internet user, because it means an extra opportunity to find out new stuff, and to read about different perspectives on a matter. Furthermore, most bloggers are self-taught. In order to succeed they have to learn a little SEO, social media marketing and obviously, how to write effective blog posts.

This is exactly why most bloggers are always open to the latest news and trends. According to developers, smart-phones have become the next best thing. More and more people have started to use internet on their mobile devices, and this can only mean even more opportunities for bloggers. In other words, if you consider that it is lucrative, you can optimize your page for mobile use, or you can simply make use of a few apps that will make your life a lot easier. Let’s take a look at the five best apps for bloggers:

1.     WordPress

Wordpress

There is no doubt about it, WordPress is the most popular blogging platform out there, so if you are into blogging, make sure you install the app on your phone. This nifty little tool will enable you to perform many tasks on wordpress sites, or on self-hosted WordPress blogs. Everything from editing, to publishing and scheduling articles will become a lot easier. In addition to this, you will be able to add photos, post comments, and be more active on blogs even when you are on the run.

2.     Writer

Writer

The main problem with smart-phones is that they are very time consuming. There are so many apps you can use, that it becomes sometimes difficult to focus. Writer is a great app that will help you get rid of all the notifications. This way you will be able to focus on your writing. Obviously, with it you can edit texts, write, and modify tags.

3.     Google Drive

Google Drive

Google Drive is one of my favorite tools for blogging. It is basically a cloud storage tool on which you can create PDFs, documents, and sheets to better monitor your activity. As long as you have the login details or if you share the documents you can edit them in real time. The Google Drive app for smart-phones will enable you to quickly share and synchronize documents across multiple devices.

4.     Evernote

Evernote

Another excellent tool for bloggers is the Evernote app which will help you capture beautiful ideas that come to mind. This way you will never forget a genius thought that pops up in the middle of the night or in the subway station. On Evernote you can record images, texts, sketches and audio clips. You can even create your own to-do lists. Obviously, all these materials are synchronized with other devices. (laptops, desktops)

5.     GAnalytics

GAnalytics

One of the many tasks that a blogger has to complete at least once a week is analytics. You should always record data and metric related to how your site is performing. With the help of gAnalytics (which is the mobile version of Google Analytics) you can track your site’s performance from your mobile device. In other words, you won’t have to worry about your traffic and visitor the next time you take a vacation.

These are the five apps that I consider essential for every blogger. What about you? What apps do you use for your blog?
