In the earlier days Letterpress effect was achieved by applying ink to the top surface of raised image area, which is then pressed against the paper to transfer the image. Nowadays, the letterpress effects in the Web design is quite popular. This is obvious because the effect looks very cool and also easy to achieve in designing.
